Video Reviewer turns any video on your iPhone or iPad into a narrated review. Split a clip into segments, narrate over a frozen frame or a looping segment, add timed captions, slow the action down, and crop in on details — then export a single video with every note included. All processing happens on your device — no account required, no internet needed.

Are my videos or voice recordings uploaded anywhere?

No. Videos, voice narrations, and projects are processed and stored entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.

Why does the app need microphone, speech recognition, and photo access?

Microphone access lets you record voice narrations over the video. Speech recognition (used only if you turn on narration subtitles) transcribes your narration on your device so it can be shown as subtitles. Photo access lets you pick the video to review and, when you export, save the finished review video back to your photo library. Everything happens on your device.

Is the app free?

All reviewing and editing features are free: splitting, text captions, voice narration and automatic subtitles, speed control, repeat, crop, and mute. Only exporting the finished video requires a purchase: a Monthly subscription (US$1.99/month), an Annual subscription (US$9.99/year), or a one-time Single Month Pass (US$3.99 for 30 days).

How do narration subtitles work?

When recording a voice narration, keep the "Show narration subtitles" switch on and your speech is transcribed on your device and shown as timed subtitles that play with the video and are included in the export. Turn the switch off if you don't want subtitles for that narration.

How do I check my purchase status?

Tap the 3-dot menu (⋯) on the home screen. It shows your current plan — Free, Single Month, Monthly, or Annually — along with the expiration date of a paid plan.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Video Reviewer, then tap Cancel. You keep export access until the end of the paid period. The Single Month Pass is a one-time purchase and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.

I paid but the app says Free. What do I do?

Tap the 3-dot menu on the home screen and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do refunds work?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Which languages are supported?

The app is available in English and Simplified Chinese, and follows your device language automatically.

Where are my projects stored?

On your device only. Deleting a project in the app, or deleting the app, permanently removes them. Exported videos you saved to your photo library remain there.
