Overview

Video Reviewer is an application that lets you review, narrate, and annotate videos entirely on your device. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Video Reviewer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• No account or sign-in is required or offered
• No usage data or analytics are collected
• No third-party services are integrated
• No cookies or tracking technologies are used
• No advertising is displayed

Videos and Photo Library

Videos you review are chosen through Apple's system photo picker, which gives the app access only to the specific video you select — never your whole library. The selected video is copied into the app's private storage and processed entirely on your device. When you export a finished review, the app asks for permission to save the new video to your photo library. Your videos are never uploaded to any server and never leave your device unless you export or share them yourself.

Microphone and Voice Recordings

The app requests microphone access only when you record a voice narration, and only records while you hold the recording screen open. Narration audio is stored locally on your device as part of your review project, is mixed into the video only when you export, and is never transmitted anywhere. Deleting a narration, its project, or the app permanently removes the recordings.

Speech Recognition (Narration Subtitles)

If you turn on subtitles for a narration, Video Reviewer transcribes that narration into text so it can be shown as on-screen subtitles. This is done using Apple's on-device Speech framework, and the app requests Speech Recognition permission the first time you use it. The audio and the resulting transcript are processed entirely on your device and are stored only as part of your local project; nothing is sent to us or to any third party. If you leave the subtitle switch off, no transcription is performed.

In-App Purchases

Video Reviewer offers optional purchases that unlock the export feature: an auto-renewing Monthly subscription (US$1.99/month), an auto-renewing Annual subscription (US$9.99/year), and a one-time Single Month Pass (US$3.99 for 30 days of export access).

• All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your name, payment details, or any other billing information.
• Purchase entitlement is verified on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework. No purchase information is sent to us or to any third party.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Data Storage

All review projects — the copied source video, splits, captions, crops, speed settings, voice narrations, and narration transcripts — are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device. You can delete any project inside the app, and deleting the app removes all projects and recordings.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have access to any of your data. Your videos, recordings, and settings exist solely on your device.

Children's Privacy

Video Reviewer does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
